Where We Are
2009 was a busy year for us. 2010 will see even more new products and services.
Taking over the workload of Caydor Industrial Doors Ltd in 2009, with lots of new customers and lots of new or redesigned products and winning several large projects has kept everyone busy.
On the door side, our engineers took part in an exercise with our French partner both over here and at their factory in L'Aigle, Normandy, to design a new door for the UK market, making assembly easier, reducing freight and packaging costs and allowing us to assemble at our Leadenham site.
Following site tests over the summer 2009 in France, the resultant doors are now in operation in the UK on a number of sites who have taken advantage of trial offers to obtain one of the latest high speed doors to be offered to the market.
TurboRoll™ E
The door is for internal openings up to 3000 x 3000, offering a low cost alternative to other doors manufactured overseas. The door will be offered on a cash and carry basis to the trade in order to keep costs to a minimum.
We are currently undertaking training to some trade customers to ensure they offer the same effective installation and post-sale back-up as our own engineers.
Using a three-phase prewired, braked GFA motor with thermal protection and with an emergency winding handle for use if there is a power failure. The guides are extruded polypropolene, the curtains come with a wireless safety edge when required. Vision optional.
The 24v controls come in an IP55 control box. All current activators can be used with the doors.
LTL18-E™ Traffic Lights
Our redesigned model to allow us to offer a better product at a more reduced pricing structure.
The LED light is 24VAC/DC but the improvements over our previous LTL18 are that the units come pre-wired as standard, so maintaining the IP66 rating. The cowl is now included and incorporates a fixing bracket. The LEDs, while still retaining their high light output, offer a wider angle of view so that they are ideal for use on high speed doors where traffic can approach from differing directions. LED lights are often only visible when approached head on. These new LEDs offer a wider range of viewing, yet still retain their brightness.
AND even better, the new lights are offered at more competitive prices.
Following a number of trials by customers, our recent marketing exercise has gained us a number of orders for the new lights.
Indeed for one Blue-chip company we have designed a traffic light system to increase safety between pedestrians and forklifts in busy crossing areas.
SEQUENCE ...
Pedestrian approaches crossing. Pedestrian Traffic light on red, fork lift lights on green. Pedestrian presses button and the green light changes to red to tell forklifts to stop. After a five second delay, the pedestrian red light changes to green. Allowing safe crossing. After ten seconds, the pedestrian light changes back to red and the fork lift traffic light back to green.
240v LTL18-E™ Traffic Lights - AVAILABLE NOW
Following a request from customers we have developed a 240v version so that changing over from an old 240v system to the new energy saving LTL18 is far easier. The unit comes fused for added safety and an internal transformer utilises the standard design of the 24v system. Pre-wired units with cowl and fixing brackets remain as the 24v models.
"Green™" Moving PE Bumpers
The success of our new bumpers, launched early last year is now paying dividends with repeat business from users of the first ones we trialled. The bumpers can offer x100 the life of rubber bumpers, are made from recycled material and can be recycled again when you have finished using them.
