We are extremely excited by the number of new and innovative products we have been able to bring into 2010.
Working closely with our customers and our suppliers we have found ways of reducing costs, improving product range and minimising the annual costs for maintenenace to these products.
The new high speed door on location in a food factory in Kent, where it replaced an unserviceable competitors high speed door.
HIGH SPEED DOOR - Turboroll™ 'E'
Originally we looked at a low cost door for supplying direct to the trade. EASTERN Doors engineers along with the design team from BA2i, France, looked at ways of making the door easier to install, maintain, repair and to introduce one or two new features, already in use on some of the clean room doors of our general range. In order to offer faster delivery we looked at assembly in our works - so reducing the high cost of freight. Purchase of components in the UK - to speed up delivery, easier to obtain spares - and with the value of the pound Sterling increasing, reducing the overall cost.
So successful was the exercise that the French company now sell the same product nationally, cost reductions have been so good that we decided that by increased numbers we could reduce these cost even further. The product is therefore now offered direct to end users and is being successfully used in a number of sites throughout the UK.

LED TRAFFIC LIGHT
We have taken many of the features of our successful LTL18 low voltage LED Traffic Lights and improved the overall design and construction. In the process we have made them easier to install and incorporated a fixing system which retains the IP66 enclosure rating, allowing direct fixing to wall, panel or cladding. To make things even easier to install, we have included three metres of three-core cable, pre-wired so that the unit is ready to be wired directly into your 24VAC/DCcontrol panel.
The unit uses a wider angle LED design which makes it far better for use with high speed doors.
Despite all the extra features, the new units are more than 20% cheaper than the original LTL range of Traffic Lights.

EASIER INSTALLATION - Incorporating the fixing brackets and 3 metres of 3-core glanded cable reducing installation time and maintaining the enclosure rating.

SAFER IN USE - less chance of light failure. If one LED fails there are 17 more to continue the good work, so reducing the risk of accidental light failure. No changing of a single light bulb or failure of light to work because of a fused lamp.
