Emergency call outs - these need individual attention with most of our customers hence our reason for setting up a dedicated repairs section within the department. At all times at least one engineer will be on call to pick up these urgent calls from customers.
REPAIRS - There are times when an emergency call out needs only security at the time, with a follow up with parts to complete the product repair requirements. This means we can programme this second visit to make it as cost effective for you as possible. We carry spares for most manufacturers products, but specialist parts may take longer due to us having to rely on suppliers.

Installations - usually this takes up at least two engineers for a number of days and in the past has delayed some of our emergency call outs.
With the dedicated repairs section, this has eliminated the waiting time.

As a Director, Manager or Owner of a company you have a duty in law to ensure that any power operated equipment ie automatic door, lift or dock leveller are regularly serviced by a competent person. In addition, you are obliged to keep written records of all work carried out on such equipment.
EASTERN DOORS currently offer to carry out a service in the first year of operation of any automatic door which they provide. This ensures it complies to any warranty issue. The service is FREE of charge and will help to keep you legal.
PENALTIES in law for failure to comply can include custodial sentances should a serious accident occur.
For all customers who sign up for an annual maintenance contract we carry out a number of other actions which are there to ensure our customers are protected, that health and safety concerns are dealt with immediately and operating costs are kept to a minimum.
Our engineers are trained in the latest H&S standards required for the safe operation of the products concerned. They will advise you if any item requires attention to comply with the law.
They will carry out a number of checks on your door, activators, safety devices and its fixing to your building.
The checklist will be returned to our offices and the information entered onto our database.
You will receive a written copy of checks carried out, so that you can keep it on file to comply with the law.
We retain a copy of all work carried out on our service database, where it can be accessed by our customers should they find a need to prove that the work has been carried out in accordance with the law.
Because European law is regularly being updated, our engineers are qualified and "competent" to work on such equipment. Your own engineer or sub contract electricians or mechanical engineers may not have such knowledge and as such would not usually be deemed "competent".

IS IT WORTH RISKING THE SAFETY OF USERS OF THE EQUIPMENT FOR SUCH A SMALL INVESTMENT?
As a Director, Manager or Owner of the company, is your Peace of Mind not worth such a small amount?
From the beginning of November all Service Vehicles will be fitted with vehicle tracking systems so that when you call in an emergency breakdown, the closest engineer can be sent to your site, reducing waiting time.
Reduced mileage should allow us to maintain our current low prices for travel despite ever increasing fuel and maintenance costs.
